    To hear a top-ranked 90's fighter, Christy Martin, tell the world that she is not trying to put women in the forefront, is a disappointment to the past fighters who fought long and hard to give her and others the "right to fight." An example of that is when the State of New York would not issue a boxing license to  Lady Tyger Trimiar, Jackie Tonawanda, and Cathy "Cat" Davis in the 70's. They had to file a lawsuit to obtain that right.   Martin nor any other female boxer would be fighting at Madison Square Garden today if those fighters had not fought for that right!"
