Athletic/Lifting Background: "My lower body was always muscular due to 10 years of ballet from age 10 but my upper body I had to develop that on my own. Culturally, strength and conditioning was not favored for girls. After I finished with school, I set out on my own at first then found people to help me along the way. I started lifting in 1995 when I saw Cory Everson on Body Shaping and fell in love with her look (especially the legs), but I did not get serious (competing even at a local level) until the end of 1997."
