- Barbells and or dumbell curls are perfect for the development of the biceps because of the intense stress it places on them.
- First grip your weights with an undergrip which is the most common way to do this exercise because it concentrates on only the biceps.
- Keep your upper arms tight against the sides of your torso so that they stay in position.
- Use your biceps strength to lift the weight in a semicircular motion toward your chest.
- Contract your biceps at the finish position to get the best possible burn, then slowly lower the weight back to your waist.
- Alternating dumbell curls can be done by lifting one weight as the other is coming down.
Tips:
- Keep the weight controlled at all times.
- To intensify your bicep workout, do this exercise sitting down.
- Do not rock back to lift the weight and keep your upper arm still.
