Bonnie Parker was born in
Texas in the year 1910. She was a notorious American criminal during the
Great Depression. Bonnie worked as a waitress and was also an amateur poet
known for her fondness for fine cigars.
Bonnie met Clyde Barrow in January of 1930
and they were first linked together in crime in December 1932. Their first
crime was car theft and for two years Bonnie and Clyde worked their way
across the southwest of the United States holding up gas stations, restaurants
and banks, killing twelve people, mostly law officers. Due to their ruthlessness,
Bonnie and Clyde earned the title “Public Enemy number one of the Southwest”.
Set up by a Texas Ranger after being trailed across nine states, Bonnie
and Clyde were ambushed outside of Arcadia, Louisiana in May of 1934. Six
lawmen shot and brutally killed Bonnie and Clyde as they drove fearlessly
through the police ambush. They were buried separately in Dallas, Texas.
Bonnie Parker was obviously aggressive
and fearless and a woman who knew what she wanted! She was much loved by
the public and considered a heroine, gaining much sympathy for her Robin
Hood-like escapades. She was certainly an athlete, as evidenced in the
way she adeptly handled many heavy firearms. I’ll bet she had huge biceps
from waitressing and carrying heavy trays full of dishes. She was definitely
ahead of her time with a cigar in one hand and a shotgun under her muscled
bicep. She would have been a great wrestler. She was agile, quick, dominant,
aggressive and powerfully built. Bonnie Parker would have made a have a
champion triathlete good at all sports!
