LB: Tom, what is your daily aerobic program, and how important is aerobics for the bodybuilder?
TV: Aerobics is extremely important and too many bodybuilders and fitness competitors are "cardio-phobic." It’s a common belief that aerobics makes you to lose muscle, but I’ve never found this to be true. Inadequate nutrition is the main cause of muscle loss, not aerobics. The problem is that many people decrease their calories a lot and also increase their cardio at the same time. They fail to realize that simply by increasing their cardio, they are creating a calorie deficit and this alone is sufficient to initiate fat loss.

Can Only Men Be Exhibitionists?
The American Psychiatric Association defines exhibitionism as "recurrent intense sexually-arousing fantasies, sexual urges or behaviors involving the exposure of one's genitals to unsuspecting strangers." In some cases, the motivation is to arouse shock, surprise, or even elicit sexual feelings in the observer(s).

The Missing Workout Piece
In my last blog entry I talked about the need to create balance in your workouts. The three main pillars of a balanced workout include cardiovascular exercise, stretching or flexibility, and strength training.
I tend to include "core" conditioning as an add-on. As I had mentioned, one should actually be spending almost equal amounts of time on each of these three pillars in any given week.

You are so small that I could crush you with one arm. I suppose you’ve noticed my big biceps. You must have, because everybody does. You just can’t ignore seventeen inch, hard, bulging biceps."
Hair of the Dog? Is There a Hangover Cure?
Do you like to tie one on why tying up your packages? For many of us, the holiday season is a time of pure indulgence. Sometimes those indulgences include alcohol.
A hangover (do I really need to describe the symptoms?) is caused primarily by dehydration. Alcohol is a diuretic (which explains all of those trips to the bathroom!).
