Kim Chizevsky is unique in the IFBB having competed in three divisions professionally; bodybuilding, fitness and figure making her [to the best of my knowledge] the only person to do so.
A 4 time Ms Olympia Champion, she switched to fitness in 2001, and then to figure in 2003. She never experienced the same success in fitness and figure as she did with bodybuilding, but her variation must be admired.
The photo posted above shows her in her bodybuilding heyday, and the two below [click to enlarge] show her competing in figure at the 2004 IFBB Show of Strength Pro Championship where she placed 7th.
Hate to sound old and all, but I have been in this game for almost 20 years now….and I think new pro Victoria Larvie may be the youngest IFBB professional in history at age 17?
I did google frantically to see if anyone more reliable then myself confirmed this – to no avail. Either way, she is definitely one of the youngest ever, if not the youngest.
The 17 year old won the short class in fitness at the 2009 NPC JR Nationals held this past weekend in Illinois which qualified her for pro status.

On May 17th IFBB fitness pro Julie Lohre competed in a triathlon and she placed 30th out of over 100 women and 8th in her age class. A very impressive result no doubt, but even more impressive is that Julie did this for charity – all proceeds benefited Down’s Syndrome Research.
A quote of Julie’s about the triathlon from her blog
I have to say, the triathlon was truly one of the hardest things I have done, mostly because it is sooo different from how I usually train and compete. I have never been a huge fan of cardio and endurance training is super tough for me. With all my knee surgeries, including the newest one that is not quite healed, I did have to pace myself on the run (for me that meant cycles of sprint… pound… ouch!… walk… recover) but the biking and swimming were incredible.
16 year old Ariel Khadr won the fitness class at the recently held NPC Atlantic States competition.

The 45 second prejudging routine at the 2004 Arnold Classic of Fitness Champions Adela Garcia and Kelly Ryan, who fell from grace a few years later.
Kelly plead to arson and battery with a deadly weapon resulting in significant bodily harm. She was then sentenced to two consecutive terms of 3-13 years in prison. With time served from the date of capture, she is eligible for parole release on 2011-12-23.

One of the most flexible fitness athletes to ever grace the stage has announced her retirement from competition. Veteran competitor Stacey Simons was known for her signature backbend move. The news comes from Isaac over at Hardbody.com, click here to read the full story and interview with Stacey.
And I have to say I am happy about that. Shannon is not only a great person, but it’s always great to see a forty something year old mom get onstage and kick ass!
The 2009 IFBB New York Pro is underway today and the prejudging over and finals due to start in a few hours. First callout was Myriam Capes, Tina Durkin, Shannon Meteraud, Bethany Wagner, Trish Warren and Nicole Dunkin [pictured below]
Debbie Dobbins was born in Olongapo, Philippines, of half Irish and half Filipino descent and moved to the USA when she was 3 yrs old. She moved to California at age twenty-four to pursue a career in the fitness industry, and worked as a cheerleader for the Portland Breakers of the USFL and Los Angeles Raiders of the NFL.
She appeared in magazines including Musclemag International and Iron Man, and competed in the Ms. Fitness USA competition and Ms. Galaxy contests.
She died at only 30 years old in 1993 in a house fire.
Often regarded as one of the most beautiful IFBB pros Timea Majorova is originally from Bratislava, Slovakia.
Born in 1974 in Zeliezovce, Slovakia she has a twin brother with whom she credits her first interest in sports. Mixing brains and beauty Timea speak four languages fluently; English, Hungarian, Russian, and Slovak. She entered her first contest the Ms. Slovakia Fitness Championships of 1994, where she placed 2nd and won the IFBB World Championships in 1997 to be awarded her IFBB pro card.
Anyway, enough with the bio…here’s a super hot vid of Timea:
The video below is of Kelly Ryan guest performing at the 2005 Vancouver USA Natural Bodybuilding Championships.
Kelly’s excellent routines and accomplishments on the stage are obviously and quite rightly overshadowed by the fact the same year this was filmed she got arrested for killing her live in assistant, after she went on the run with her husband and got picked up by the FBI nine days later while getting a manicure.
Anyone else recall this photo on the cover of Flex Magazine?
Going back a number of years now, this photo comprised one of my favorite magazine covers of all time. It features [now retired] IFBB fitness pros Milamar Flores-Sarcev and Madonna Grimes.
Milamar is a Canadian of Filipino ancestry and now lives in California with her husband IFBB pro Milos Sarcev. Madonna is a former Miss Fitness America and is well known for workout DVD’s showcasing her dance and choreography work.
