Julie trains at Gold’s Gym in Merriam, Kansas. In 2005, at the age of 39, she was Overall Figure Champion 2005 Novice Michigan.

From her latest blog entry: “I’m back, training and dieting for the May 24th Muscle Mayhem. Chad Nicholls is the promoter, Ronnie’s trainer. He puts on a hell of a show. First place is a custom coat of arms. This will be the second annual.
I’m also doing my final test-judge for the NPC a couple of weeks later at the KC Natural. I’ll be judging at the Kansas State Show.”

Born on March 4, 1963, Carri Ledford fell in love with training after dating a guy who had a trainer and who talked her into joining him. She was a natural at it and won her first overall novice division.
But, the success didn’t stop there; in 2004 she obtained her Pro Card, proving she has the stuff a champion is made off.
This woman is not just about her own accomplishments though, she enjoys working at the Special Olympics powerlifting meets, helping to encourage them to reach their goals.
Her favorite foods include grilled salmon and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. If asked what her best body part was, glutes and calves would be what she hears most often.

Today as the Brookline resident approaches her 40th birthday, she’s a 135-pound mother of two who is so fit that she can lift more weight than some of the men at her gym, the Rivers Club in Oxford Center.
