Sometimes finding posts are too easy. Circulating the blog-o-sphere this week from mma-fighter to TMZ this beautifully written snippet:

“Erin Toughill, a new star for “American Gladiators,” allegedly beat husband Clark Bevans on their honeymoon. Always a bad sign.
Bevans, who filed a restraining order against Toughill last week, claims Toughill went “insane” with jealously, and accused him of being “a pedophile, sociopath and homosexual.” Aside from allegedly beating him on several occasions, Bevans claims Toughill smashed the windshield of his RV. He also says Toughill “bodychecked, hockey style” a trainer at Gold’s Gym he had dated years before.Ironically, both Toughill and Bevans are mixed martial arts fighters. Bevans’ record in the ring is 4-0. His record against Toughill is 0-2.”

Well, Newark, New Jersey is already well known for its violence and night time street fighting. Newark recently opened the Prudential Center, a brilliant 17,000 seat arena that is the home of another brawling Newark gang, the New Jersey Devils.

Now CBS, sometime after Clinton and Obama stop fighting, launches the first prime time network telecasts of EliteXC Mixed Martial Arts fighting live from the Prudential Center on May 31, 2008. Dave Meltzer writes for Yahoo Sports: “The entire landscape of mixed martial arts changed today. Maybe. The announcement that CBS will broadcast live Elite XC shows on Saturday nights in prime time is potentially the biggest deal in the history of the sport in North America.”

Gina Carano will be fighting in Newark and for those of you unfamiliar with the rules of combat, here is Gina to explain them.
