Excuse me for bringing up matters years old, am I the only one that recalls when actress Jada Pinkett-Smith gave an interview about her bench pressing?
Married to Will Smith, the petite actress only weighs about 100lbs and was being reported as benching 170 - 200lbs which got more confusing when in a 2003 interview she said she benched 9 plates a side, which would be close to 900lbs.

According to Wikipedia “Flexibility is the absolute range of movement in a joint or series of joints and muscles that is attainable in a momentary effort with the help of a partner or a piece of equipment”

After reading a couple of Lori’s posts about Pauline Nordin, I decided to check her out for myself. Not only is she smoking hot but she’s dedicated, passionate and inspirational.
This sexy 20 year-old makes me want to get fat just so I can ask her to be my personal trainer. The personal trainer and bodybulider, comes across as the kind of woman that most others would like to be. There are some days when I just don’t want to get up, and if I do, I want get as far as the sofa and lay down. Ya know the kind of day I’m talking about. Where the only exercise you do is moving the chocolate bar up towards your mouth, chew and swallow! She get’s up and even when she doesn’t want to, works out just because of the good feeling it gives her afterwards. It takes a certain kind of motivation for that.
Fitness isn’t just an idea, it’s a way of life and she shows this. Not only does she show that in the way she takes care of her own body, butin the way that she helps others reach their goals in getting into shape and getting that tight, toned athletic body. Although when she says that she pushes herself to where her lungs feel like exploding and that’s where she reaches her high…that’s a very strange thing to feel excited about…I can think of a bedroom exercise where something explodes, and I’m betting it’s a much more pleasant experience than your lungs exploding…Maybe we could try convincing her that’s the cardio exercise she wants to teach us?

Looking through the a list of female sports trying to get some inspiration for my next post, I came across gymnastics and I found myself geting some very filthy ideas in my head. That was when I realised that Gymnastics is a dirty sport…a hot, dirty sport. I thought seeing as we’re promoting sexy sports women on the site, I would do my bit to contribute. ;)
I found some Gymnastic positions and a website that tells you what they intail, when getting into them. All I could think about was the fact that these positions can be taking to the
bedroom, and used in a much more creative way. With examples like the bridge, where you lie on your back. Then you place your hands on the floor by your ears and bend your legs. Push your hips towards the ceiling and arch your back…Tell me you don’t think this could be put to good use!?! Other one’s that sound pretty interesting are the arch, candlestick and hollow. Look them up and you’ll see what I mean. Although I think the pictures I’ve added will say all they need to.
I think if they created a bedroom gymnastics for the Olympics, it would be a well watched sport…I know I’d definately be trying for gold.

Sit on bench. Grasp dumbbell between feet. Place back of upper arm to inner thigh. Lean into leg to raise elbow slightly.
Raise dumbbell to front of shoulder. Lower dumbbell until arm is fully extended. Repeat. Continue with opposite arm.
The long head (lateral head) of the biceps brachii is activated significantly more than the short head (medial head) of the biceps brachii since the short head enters into active insufficiency as it contiues to contract. (via exrx.net)

Russian Kettlebells are a very old form of exercise, dating back hundreds of years. More recently, Kettlebells were used by classic strongmen in the United States until about the 1920s, when the country turned ‘ball-oriented.’ When Americans started to turn to baseballs and basketballs, the bells were put away and have been gathering dust ever since. But Kettlebells are coming back. Just ask Bonnie LeFrak and her husband Douglas Nix, who are opening The Next Big Thing in Worcester: a Punch Worcester Kettlebell gym.
Bonnie Lefrak knows strong. Photos from her bodybuilding days ~ posing with fitness gurus like Jay Cutler and Nancy Andrews ~ hang on the wall of the modest Punch Worcester Gym on Grove Street that she co-owns with her police officer husband Douglas Nix, who, in addition to being an accomplished boxer, is also a huge fan of the Kettlebell fitness method, crediting it with keeping him in top form for the considerable rigors of his job. Oh yeah, and there’s that trophy that measures up to her tiny, muscular waist.

“To make your workout seem like it’s going faster, count down versus count up. For example, when doing lat pull downs, instead of starting your reps from 1 and counting up to 10, start the count from 10 and go to 0. When doing a 20 minute run on the treadmill count down from 20 minutes til you get to 0. “You’re done!”
Counting down psychologically makes your body feel like it’s going down hill which is much easier to do than going uphill, like counting up. Time just feels like it goes faster when counting down versus counting up.”

While she works hard to maintain muscle mass all year round, a strict diet and training regime starts up to 12 weeks before a competition.
During this time she spends three to five hours training every day, including cardio-vascular workouts at 4am and 8pm. She fits this in around clients at Club St Heliers, where she works.
The final two weeks are spent dehydrating, when Lisa monitors her water intake.
“People don’t see the hours you put in to get the results and wonder why you do so well,” Lisa says. “It’s a very hard and strict lifestyle.”
She also relies on supplements like protein powders, fat burners and performance boosters, sometimes taking up to 60 pills of 15 varieties a day.
She maintains a high-protein diet of “the leanest of chicken, steak, egg whites, white fish and salmon every day”. Including protein shakes, she eats 10 to 12 meals a day.
“It makes it a very expensive sport,” she says.
“Preparing for a competition would cost an international athlete like myself about $5000. Tanning alone is $250 to $300.
